Business Area Director – UK
Location: Belfast (with responsibility for Thorney Island)
Business Unit: Integrated Airspace Protection Systems (IAS)
We’re seeking an exceptional Business Area Director – UK to lead the UK IAS portfolio, build strategic customer relationships, and drive profitable growth in defence and high-tech sectors. The director will collaborate with the UK MOD and internal stakeholders to deliver long-term value, lead multidisciplinary teams, and foster innovation and commercial success.
This position offers a significant opportunity to impact UK national defence by managing critical air defence products that protect all deployed UK air bases, while contributing to a rapidly growing business with new product developments.

Security Clearance Requirement:
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
