We are searching for a Business Application Analyst - Master Data to join our team in Ensenada, Mexico The role is a member of the FMIC Information Technology department, supporting the SAP material master system. This position will include all the responsibilities of the Business Application Analyst I – Master Data, with additional responsibilities, including a specific focus on developing basic Winshuttle Studio transaction and query scripts and extended outreach to FMIC colleagues for support. The person in this position will take an active role as the point of contact and delegator of data governance initiatives established by management for the Master Data Team.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists in deploying data governance rules at the behest of upper management.
  • Reconcile discrepancies to maintain information quality.
  • Initiates and maintains communication with company stakeholders to ensure that quality assurance standards are met.
  • Provides basic training for new Master Data Team members.
  • Training of all SAP users who consume or contribute master data information.
  • Documentation of all Master Data processes and data governance directives.
  • Annual “Lunch and Learn” presentation of Master Data initiatives or systems operations.
  • Organize and delegate daily requests from internal customers to update/correct material master, purchasing info records, source lists, BOMS, and sales status.
  • Basic development of Winshuttle Studio Scripts, including queries.
  • Creation of best practice workflow for data processes and procedures, working directly with the Master Data Team lead in implementation.
  • Development of audit reports using Winshuttle query or SE16
  • Identify manual processes and optimize them with fully or semi-automated processes.
  • Establish and maintain communication with all functional users and stakeholders to support and derive improvements based on user experience.
  • Maintenance of QM inspection setups in SAP
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with ERP, specifically material master, is preferred (SAP) – data consolidation and workflows.
  • Prior experience with relational databases and MDM best practices.
  • Self-motivated learner with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • A drive to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Possess and demonstrate advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • SQL and Python knowledge is preferred but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of all FMIC-branded product lines to satisfy quality assurance goals and responsibilities is preferred but not required.
  • Extensive use of project management tools like JIRA or Trello.
  • Professional English proficiency, with strong verbal and written communication skills, is required.
