Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Business & Commercial Lending Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of exceptional service to our business and commercial members by ensuring loan documentation, funding, maintenance, renewals, and payouts are processed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with business banking teams, internal and external partners, you will help facilitate timely lending transactions while maintaining compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys balancing operational excellence with member-focused service.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at Vancity head office and will report directly to the Team Manager, Business and Commercial Banking Admin. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Processing business and commercial lending transactions including loan funding, construction draws, maintenance activities, and loan payouts in accordance with service standards and timelines
  • Preparing accurate security documentation for new loans, amendments, renewals, guarantor releases, and related lending activities
  • Funding approved loans and ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate prior to disbursement
  • Liaising with internal business partners and external partners regarding document preparation, registrations, funding, and administration requirements
  • Administering letters of credit, renewals, associated fees, and Personal Property Registry renewals for business members
  • Monitoring assigned loan applications and proactively managing documentation requirements to support timely member completion dates
  • Processing loan maturity renewals, draw requests, CRM requests, monthly payments, payment amendments, and related loan servicing activities
  • Preparing and administering reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Applying risk management, compliance standards, policies, procedures, and internal controls to support regulatory requirements and mitigate risk

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience supporting lending operations, commercial banking administration, loan processing, or financial services administration
  • Experience preparing and reviewing lending documentation and coordinating loan funding activities
  • Knowledge of commercial lending products, security documentation, loan maintenance processes, and loan administration practices
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements within a financial services environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating effectively across departments and with external partners
  • Proficiency with lending systems, Microsoft Office applications, and reporting tools
  • Completion of financial services, lending, or banking-related courses or certifications is considered an asset

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Experience supporting commercial lending portfolios within a credit union or financial institution
  • Familiarity with loan security registrations, Personal Property Registry processes, syndicated loans, and letters of credit administration
  • Knowledge of commercial lending platforms, T24, nCino, CRM systems, and workflow management tools

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $55,300 to $68,250 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
