What you will do
Given an internal promotion, the JAPAC Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) Team needs a Manager to drive the commercial insights, forecasting and analytics efforts for several inline and pipeline products in Australia /New Zealand.
The main purpose of this role is to deliver market and sales analysis to maximize brand value, coordinate the forecasting process relative to the allocated brand and deliver strategic insights (via market research) to the relevant teams. You will be one of the key point of contacts with a diverse set of affiliate partners (Marketing, Value & Access, Finance). You will have responsibilities to translate business needs into analytical plans for primary market research, developing unbiased short and long-term product forecasts, tracking brand performance, and work closely with the BAI community across the JAPAC region. This role will report to the JAPAC Business Analysis and Insights Director with key business partners across the Australian affiliate.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive Commercial Insights and forecasting activities for key Brands in Australia including primary market research, secondary analytics, short and long-term product forecasts, and brand performance tracking.
Address business issues and opportunities through relevant analytical approaches
Provide an objective and rigorous point of view to sales forecasting and product performance while collaborating with relevant functions (commercial, medical, V&A, regulatory, etc)
Drive brand specific performance management in JAPAC; ensure that marketing assumptions are appropriately linked to sales performance metrics and targets
Execute primary market research projects, understanding the needs of the Global Brand team and affiliates and contributing to building the Australian insight generation plan required to meet those needs
Work to translate the primary market research findings into actionable insights and be able to influence the team’s decision making accordingly
Manage several projects, and plan & manage works to ensure that quality expectations are met on individual projects
Work closely with JAPAC BAI community across the region
Manage the immediate and long-term impact of problems and changing circumstances

Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of pharmaceutical market analysis and/or business planning experience
Demonstrated ability to translate business questions and needs into research plans and synthesize multiple data sources to answer business questions
Demonstrated ability to deliver results, champion new innovative methodologies and tools
Expertise in market analysis and forecasting (forecasting models, knowledge frameworks for qualitative competitive analysis, forecasting and analytical tools)
Commercial Analysis , Business Planning experience and strong ecosystem knowledge in Australia
Deep understanding of the markets, brands and broader context (internal and external) of the business. Can translate market research insights and findings into realistic, impactful recommendations
Demonstrated strategic / critical thinking abilities and eye for business
Ability to dig deep and uncover the “why” beneath the observed behaviors (go beyond the rationale)
Excellent oral and written presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Ability to balance multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously
Proficient facilitation, self-driven, analytical thinking and problem-solving
Project management skills (planning, scheduling, implementation, and stabilization)
Knowledge of industrial data (IQVIA, etc.)
