Job Description

The Senior Business Analytics Analyst creates highly complex analytics solutions, presented clearly and concisely, that support data-driven decision making throughout the organization. Utilizes strong data analysis skills to visualize and understand data to present findings to all levels of stakeholders. Works closely with the Data and Analytics team to ensure business intelligence solutions contain clean, timely, and accurate data. Advises stakeholders of possible approaches to apply data to advance business objectives, balancing complexity, value, and time to implement. Has firm knowledge of BI tools, data analysis, data management, data modeling, and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Creates compelling visualizations and stories with data using Tableau, PowerBI, and other data visualization tools to pull present and analyze data from disparate sources.
• Uses user-centered design principles when creating dashboards and BI tools, working closely with end-users throughout the development process to ensure high-quality user experience.
• Drives efforts to develop self-service tools to allow users throughout the organization to quickly pull and analyze data from the central data repository and data marts.
• Possesses strong mathematical and logic skills to derive insights from large data sets, using various techniques such as statistical analysis and data mining.
• Provides leadership throughout the iterative data development process to ensure final data models contain accurate and appropriate data for analysis.
• Manages and maintains BI tools, such as Tableau, including monitoring performance, coordinating necessary upgrades, and staying abreast of new features and functions.
• Assists with establishing best data visualization best practices and standards, ensuring all production dashboards and visuals adhere to specified standards.
• Creates monthly and quarterly financial reporting for various departments, the Board, and NCUA.
• Has extensive knowledge and expertise with Accounting, Finance, and Lending, utilizing domain expertise to build effective analytics tools and reporting.

Qualifications

Education

• BA/BS degree in Math & Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or Data Science.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in data analysis, profiling, data manipulation, data mining, data extraction, data enrichment.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

• Professional experience with visualization tools and report development, dashboard creation, pivot tables, and data analytics.
• Proficient with Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy or similar tools.
• Experience with statistical modelling and understanding of Machine Learning.
• Excellent understanding of analytical methods and regression models, and advanced analytics software (SAS, R, Python, Data Robot and others).
• Experience working with stakeholders in gathering requirements and writing technical specifications.

Pay Range

USD $91,676.08 - USD $142,097.92 /Yr.
