Job Description

Business Analyst – M&E 2030 Transformation Portfolio

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The M&E 2030 Transformation Portfolio is the delivery engine behind FCM Meetings & Events’ Five Big Moves - the multi-year portfolio reshaping how we operate, sell and scale globally. It spans four pillars: Foundations & Innovations (our Core Programme), the Single Operating Model, Regional Projects, and M&A Integration.

We’re looking for a Business Analyst with at least two years’ experience to join the Portfolio Delivery team. Your primary focus will be Foundations & Innovations - the programme building our core tech and process backbone - but you’ll flex across other pillars as portfolio priorities shift.

Accountabilities are structured around the M&E 2030 Business Analysis Service Framework (BASF), which sets out six core areas of BA service across the portfolio - from problem analysis through to supporting change deployment.

You’ll bring proven analytical thinking, genuine curiosity for how things work, and the communication skills to turn complexity into clarity - ideally with BA experience gained in travel, events or MICE environments. If you’re someone who sees inefficiency and wants to fix it, this role was written for you.

Your reward? A front-row seat across the entire M&E 2030 portfolio, real variety in the problems you solve, and the platform to build a career in global transformation and delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct situation investigations, stakeholder interviews, surveys, and root cause analysis to identify business problems and opportunities.
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for new or enhanced systems and processes.
  • Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders across regions, cultures, and time zones.
  • Support feasibility assessments, business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and ROI modelling.
  • Analyse and optimise business processes using BPMN, UML, Value Stream Mapping, and Lean methodologies.
  • Develop user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test script development, coordination, and validation activities.
  • Contribute to change management, training, stakeholder communications, and adoption activities.
  • Work across multiple transformation initiatives and portfolio pillars as priorities evolve.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar process or requirements-focused role.
  • Experience within Corporate Travel, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience across the BA lifecycle, including problem analysis, process mapping, requirements definition, and business case development.
  • Experience working in global or matrixed organisations.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Smartsheet, Visio, Lucidchart, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting UAT, change initiatives, and training deployment.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Business Analysis certification (BCS, IIBA, or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • Exposure to Agile, Lean, and Change Management methodologies highly desirable.
