What to expect:

  • Early-stage flexibility with partial telework during initial development phases
  • Full-time on-site presence at secure facility in Washington, DC will be required as the program matures

  • Dev platform based on ServiceNow, Elastic, AWS and RedHat

What you’ll need:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance (required for consideration)
  • Willingness and ability to complete and maintain additional customer suitability screenings throughout employment
  • Current Security+ certification or higher/equivalent

The Business Analyst will work directly with customers to capture business and user requirements and communicate those requirements to the team. This role will define detailed stories and epics, with applicable acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owners, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and development teams where the candidate will facilitate meetings with internal technical and operational teams. In addition, this role will be responsible for authoring content and peer reviewing a wide array of documents, including functional, technical, training as well as planning and roadmaps.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Build datasets and visualizations to support reporting and analytics.
  • Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and maintain metadata and data dictionaries.
  • Diagnose and resolve data issues, including performing manual data updates and extracts.
  • Manage and update user stories in Atlassian Jira.
  • Document current processes and partner with stakeholders to design improved future‑state workflows.
  • Establish governance and lifecycle processes for key data domains.
  • Conduct focus groups and synthesize qualitative findings with survey data.
  • Mentor junior team members and support overall project delivery.
  • Execute engineering activities such as requirements analysis, planning, integration, testing, documentation, deployment, and system evaluation.
  • Ensure data accuracy and implement leadership‑approved updates.
  • Partner with business and digital teams to align with strategic roadmaps and integrate data across systems.
  • Define and communicate data attributes, definitions, and acceptable values.
  • Build processes to monitor and remediate data health and communicate performance metrics.
  • Provide stakeholder training and participate in governance forums.
  • Work with developers to design integrations connecting master data to other systems.
  • Support solutions leveraging AWS and ServiceNow.
  • Work effectively in an agile, cross‑functional environment.
  • Manage multiple priorities independently and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and recommend improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance (required for consideration).
  • Ability to pass and maintain additional suitability screenings as required by customer
  • Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC
  • Education and experience depending on job level:
  • Level III: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4-8 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Level IV: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8-12 years of relevant experience (or a Master’s and 6+ years). Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of data and/or software architecture
  • Successful and demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to ServiceNow applications like Telecommunication Management System (TSM), Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI), Order Management Telecommunications (OMT) modules, etc.
  • Experience with JIRA, Git and Confluence.
  • Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified.
  • AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications.
  • Experience working with large software systems including hardware integration and test.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams.
  • Experience using SAFe as the agile development methodology.
  • Experience moving from a legacy application to a new application
  • Experience applying test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built-in quality by the team.
  • Experience using Kanban to improve flow on support teams.
  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD implementation.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
