Position

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst Finance IT to join the regional Finance IT organization. The role connects Finance business needs with SAP and digital solutions, with primary responsibility for functional analysis, configuration support, testing, deployment and continuous improvement across FICO processes.

The position will also contribute, on a partial basis, to Finance Copilot activities for the IT team by supporting the monitoring and analysis of the regional CARCAM team budget. The role works across countries and functions, partnering with Finance stakeholders, IT product teams, support providers and project resources

Key Responsibilities

SAP Finance solutions and configuration

  • Gather, challenge and document business requirements, pain points, controls and improvement opportunities for SAP Finance processes.
  • Translate Finance requirements into functional designs, configuration proposals, process flows, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Support and, within the applicable governance model, execute or coordinate SAP Finance configuration.
  • Assess integration impacts with related SAP processes and solutions, including procurement, sales, treasury, controlling, master data, interfaces and reporting.
  • Coordinate onshore and offshore developers, vendors and support teams to deliver approved enhancements and fixes.
  • Prepare and execute unit, integration and user acceptance testing; manage defects, evidence and business sign-off.
  • Support cutover, deployment, hyper care and stabilization activities for projects, rollouts and legal or regulatory changes.

Operations, support and continuous improvement

  • Provide advanced functional support for SAP Finance incidents and service requests, prioritizing business continuity and financial closing needs.
  • Lead root cause analysis, coordinate permanent fixes and identify opportunities to reduce recurring incidents and manual activities.
  • Monitor solution quality, data integrity, control requirements and compliance with security, architecture and SAP governance standards.
  • Maintain functional documentation, configuration records, process guides, test assets and training materials.
  • Deliver knowledge transfer and training to key users, end users and support teams.
  • Contribute to the Finance IT product roadmap and backlog, helping prioritize demand based on value, risk, urgency, effort and regional impact.

Finance Copilot and CARCAM IT budget support

  • Contribute part of the role capacity to Finance Copilot activities for the regional IT team.
  • Support consolidation, validation and monitoring of CARCAM IT budget information, including actuals, commitments, forecast and variances, based on approved data sources and governance.
  • Prepare recurring management views, summaries and insights that improve visibility of budget status, risks, deviations and required actions.
  • Partner with budget owners and Finance contacts to follow up on open items, data quality issues and forecast updates.
  • Act as the Finance IT point of contact for CARCAM and Above Market budget governance by proactively supporting budget and CAPEX preparation, providing visibility to the Global Finance team, and coordinating project-level capitalization follow-up from IT to the requesting area.

Stakeholder and delivery management

  • Act as a trusted link between Finance stakeholders and IT products, platform, delivery and support teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, clarify ownership, communicate decisions and maintain alignment across regional and global stakeholders.
  • Support project planning, status reporting, dependency management, risk and issue tracking, and delivery governance.
  • Collaborate effectively in virtual, multicultural teams across countries and time zones.

Required Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of payment methods, automatic payment processes, electronic bank statements, bank interfaces, reconciliations and tax or localization requirements.
  • Experience with legal, fiscal or electronic compliance initiatives in Latin America.
  • Experience supporting budget, forecast, cost monitoring or portfolio reporting for an IT organization.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in implementing SAP FICO, including:
    • Configuration of SAP FI submodules:

General Ledger – GL

Accounts Receivable – AR

Accounts Payable – AP

Asset Accounting – AA

Treasury and Bank Management

    • Knowledge of SAP CO configuration, including Costing and Controlling, is a plus.
    • Experience implementing other S/4HANA Finance solutions is a plus.
  • Experience gathering requirements, writing functional specifications, coordinating technical delivery, designing test scenarios and supporting implementations.
  • Good understanding of accounting processes, financial controls, month-end close and the integration of SAP FI with adjacent modules and systems.
  • Experience with incident management, problem management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement in a support or product environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Availability for occasional travel within the region, according to business and project needs.
  • Understanding of various software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into application requirements.
  • Organization: Above-average organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and stakeholders at the same time. Ability to work and collaborate in virtual teams across countries, cultures and time zones. Proven track record of delivering results successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
