What you will be doing:
Facilitate communication between business and IT teams by conducting workshops, interviews, and gathering requirements to understand objectives.
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation for development teams.
Analyse business challenges, identify opportunities for technology improvements, and collaborate with IT to design and validate solutions.
Prepare business cases and cost-benefit analyses, and support the project lifecycle through to user acceptance testing (UAT).
Ensure solutions align with financial regulations and IT governance, while managing relationships with vendors and third-party providers.
Provide necessary training and ongoing support to end-users for newly implemented systems and processes.
What our client is looking for:
A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial (Business, IT, Computer Science, Finance, etc.).
Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are advantageous.
8+ years of business analysis experience within the finance sector (e.g., private equity, asset management).
Experience with enterprise financial systems and proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio.
Strong understanding of financial operations, fund management, reporting, accounting principles, and financial data flows is essential.
Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, business process modelling, and requirements-gathering techniques.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities are necessary, along with the capacity to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
