Business Analyst – Sales Support - Retail Energy & Natural Gas

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join their Sales Support team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in driving success across deregulated retail energy and natural gas markets. You will support both direct and indirect sales activities, ensuring seamless processing of commercial agreements and acting as a vital link between internal teams, channel partners, and customers.

This is a 12-month contract position offering a standard 40-hour work week. You will report to the Sales Support Manager and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver accurate, timely results while continuously improving internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process commercial agreements and provide direct support to the Sales team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Internal Sales Team, Channel Partners, and Customers to facilitate clear communication.
• Analyze inbound requests for proposals, manage account setups, and gather usage data to inform decision-making.
• Manage changes to proposals and execute pricing refreshes in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee deliverables meet quality and deadline standards.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process design and modification to drive continuous business improvement.
• Provide consistent status updates and reporting to Leadership on deliverables and project milestones.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in a business analysis, sales support, or similar role.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis.

Preferred Skills

While not required, a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving will stand out.
