Responsibilities also include conducting quarterly vendor performance reviews and addressing operational issues as they arise.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide performance feedback and guidance to third-party vendors to drive continuous improvement.

  • Represent FirstEnergy at industry conferences, stakeholder meetings, community events, and working groups.

  • Monitor contractor performance and compliance through quality assurance reviews and reporting.

  • Analyze operational challenges and develop recommendations to improve program performance and efficiency.

  • Conduct research and data analysis to support program strategy, decision-making, and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and improve program delivery.

  • Develop scope-of-work documents and vendor requirements aligned with program objectives.

  • Support critical business initiatives and emergency response efforts, including storm restoration activities as needed.

  • Maintain expertise in energy efficiency programs, technologies, regulations, and industry trends through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications at the Business Analyst level include:

  • A two- to four-year degree in a related discipline is preferred, along with a minimum of four years of professional-level experience. In lieu of a degree, seven years of related experience at an exempt (professional) level is required, including data reporting, analysis, costing, and strategic recommendations.

  • Experience managing programs, projects, or vendor relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships through respectful communication, active listening, and professional interactions with employees, contractors, customers, and other stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of energy efficiency programs, building science, conservation technologies, and industry best practices preferred.

  • Familiarity with utility operations, customer energy usage, and applicable state regulations is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partners.

  • Effective leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
