Job Description


Job Title:
Business Analyst - Research & PreSales


Department:
Sales > PreSales


Location:
Baner, Pune
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong focus on research and pre-sales to join our team. This role requires deep analytical skills to understand client requirements, conduct market research, and develop documentation that supports pre-sales efforts. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between client expectations and technical capabilities, contributing to the enhancement and success of Benchmark's GenAI product.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough analysis of client/prospect requirements for new projects and GenAI implementations.

  • Understand & Analyze the requirements shared by the clients / prospects regarding new projects and / or requirements of implementing GenAI product developed by Benchmark
    ​

  • Perform Gap Fit analysis for clients seeking to revamp or enhance existing systems.

  • Document expected system/app features and requirements for effective project planning.

  • Conduct market research on competitors and related systems, identifying gaps and providing insights.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify unspoken system requirements for optimal performance.

  • Develop feature lists for estimation and proposal purposes.

  • (Advantageous) Assist in creating solution design diagrams in collaboration with architects and tech teams.

Work Location - Pune, Work from Office (Hybrid). Small overlap with US timezone is necessary ( upto 8 - 9 PM IST)


Requirements


Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • Experience:
    3-7 years as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years of experience in business and functional analysis.

    • Presales experience is advantageous.

  • Education:
    MBA (with a focus on computer applications), MCS, MCA, or BE (Comp/IT).

  • Preferred Certification:
    Business Analysis (BA) course, though not mandatory.


Technical Competencies:


  • Strong expertise in research, requirements analysis, and business documentation.

  • Skilled in business presentation and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
