Are you a business‑focused problem solver who wants your work to make a real impact in people’s lives?

At CoAct, we’re a purpose‑driven, not‑for‑profit organisation transforming lives through employment services and community activation. We’re looking for a Business Analyst who combines strong analytical thinking with a passion for improving services, systems and outcomes for the communities we serve.

This is your opportunity to join a national organisation where insight leads to action. You’ll work across CoAct and our Altivio arm, partnering with internal leaders and external clients to translate business needs into practical solutions that drive smarter decisions, enhance service delivery and support positive social impact.

Exploring the Role

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, uncover opportunities for improvement and support the delivery of fit‑for‑purpose solutions. You’ll act as a bridge between business needs and data, systems and delivery teams, ensuring initiatives are clearly defined, achievable and value‑driven.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with internal stakeholders and external clients to identify, analyse and document business needs
  • Translating business requirements into clear functional specifications, reporting requirements and solution designs
  • Supporting the analysis, interpretation and presentation of data to inform business decisions
  • Developing and managing project plans, timelines and deliverables end‑to‑end
  • Supporting solution implementation, troubleshooting issues and embedding improvements
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships across teams and with clients
  • Upholding best‑practice business analysis, documentation and continuous improvement methodologies

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Strong capability in requirements gathering, business process mapping and documentation
  • Experience working with data, reporting or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, MODE) to support decision‑making
  • Sound understanding of data governance, data quality and information management principles
  • Confidence working with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to recommend practical, sustainable solutions
  • Detail‑oriented, organised and a clear, proactive communicator

Location:
This is a work‑from‑home role, with occasional visits to our Stones Corner office as required.

What Can We Offer?

  • Initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Salary packaging available up to $15,900 per annum (tax‑saving benefit)
  • Additional wellbeing leave (13 extra days per year)
  • Corporate health insurance discounts
