About the Role

The Business Analyst role is part of the Reconciliations Change Management team, which oversees all changes impacting the reconciliation business. You will work closely with the delivery team, Recs Ops, and technology partners to develop, manage, and maintain robust and sustainable reconciliation solutions supported by our TLM and ACR infrastructure.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. In this position, you will analyse business requirements, collaborate with development teams to design effective reconciliation solutions, optimize business processes, lead project initiatives, and provide strategic insights to drive growth and efficiency. You will also work with stakeholders to define project scope, create detailed documentation, and ensure seamless integration with reconciliation systems. Additionally, you will partner with the Senior Change Manager and other change and delivery professionals to deliver key strategic initiatives for reconciliations.

What will your day look like?

As a Business Improvement Analyst, you will:

• Be working in a squad where you will use your Business Analysis skills to work collaborative with various ANZ businesses to conduct impact and risk assessments on the business processes, systems, identify and capture detailed business requirements and support any co-ordination internally of migration activities.
• Analyse existing business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and propose actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure all business and customer impacts have been considered, document and communicate these widely, and bring your problem-solving and analytical mindset to help the bank support best practice delivery of analysed requirements and change management.
• Support change and implementation activities to ensure all impacted teams and roles are trained, equipped and ready to absorb and manage the change, verify, and validate what is in production (especially after changes).
• Assist in developing business testing strategy and plans across multiple business units with the support of the Product Owner and squad, and co-ordinate/execute on these wide-scale test and regression plans.

• A proactive, "can-do" attitude with a willingness to collaborate and help the team deliver results in a fast-paced environment. You will be flexible, balancing your subject matter expertise (SME) with the team's priorities that require collective effort.
• Strong domain knowledge in payments and finance reconciliations banking systems, with a deep understanding of Insto and Retail payment products.
• Demonstrated experience in Reconciliations Operations, including balance sheet reconciliations, transaction matching, exception management, and controls.
• Expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Business Analysis, Project Management, Test Management, transformation and/or Delivery Execution.
• Experience assessing and implementing impacts across reconciliation platforms, finance systems, operational processes, and accounting controls
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with extensive experience preparing and conducting workshops, as well as eliciting and documenting requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams).
• A genuine passion and curiosity for understanding customer needs and experiences, always prioritizing the customer while optimizing their journey.
