A Lead Business Analyst (HAL) is an exceptionally skilled at context switching, knowing various process for a variety of clients on various platforms and is also able to lead many efforts at once. The lead is able to train many others in various disciplines on the systems and is able to fill the void of architects and/or Scrum Masters if needed.

  • Effectively elicits requirements from users who may not actually know what they need.
  • Drives out process improvements within the Information Technology group.
  • Drives to solutions that benefit multiple clients and advance the product forward.
  • Mentors Business Analysts by passing on knowledge of analysis process and methodologies.
  • May participate in code/functional reviews
  • Acts decisively when faced with critical problems or issues.
  • Manages the most complex projects or projects with the highest visibility.
  • Serve as an analysis lead on a project, coordinating and driving analysis activities that may occur on one to many platforms.
  • May act as team lead, performing duties such as holding team meetings, troubleshooting project issues, processing Help Desk user requests, and having informal input into performance review (BA Manager completes final draft.).
  • Ability to work on a greater number of projects at a given time, projects with increased complexity/higher visibility or a combination of both.
  • Estimate projects in detail and know the impact of various integrated systems and/or platforms.
  • Enforces the SDLC processes and supports each discipline during the effort.
  • Lead efforts across several projects mentoring and improving processes
  • Train teams on project functionality being worked on to provide a baseline of understanding for all disciplines.
  • Advocate for positive change to increase the IT team’s knowledge of our systems.
  • Advocate for increased quality of requirements by reviewing and providing constructive feedback on complex projects.
  • Ability to be deployed late on projects when asked to lead and solve complex issues.
  • Ability to complete Impact Analysis on projects at times.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team (5+ years)
  • Provides guidance and direction to the BA team and works closely with the illumifin business SMEs, technical leads and client to thoroughly test all aspects (data migration, platform modifications, interfaces) of the conversion
  • Experienced in the Health claims industry (5+ Years)
  • Experienced with the Group Insurance
  • Experienced with large scale implementation programs involving Policy and Claims administration systems
  • Be available, work with, meet with and communicate with the client, the customer is located in Carmel, IN
  • Work with the project manager to establish tasks and timelines for all BA activities
  • Assist team with BA activities.

Preferred

  • Experienced in the Med Supp industry
  • Experienced with GIAS GLC application
  • Experience with Azure DevOps

The base salary target for this position is at $100,000 depending on experience and qualifications
