Job Description
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Business Analyst reporting to the IT Director in Midland, Texas. This position owns application support for Land, serving as the primary point of contact for Land IT needs across the full portfolio of Land systems. The ideal candidate brings established technical and business analysis skills, deep Land industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across the company.
General Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Land IT support needs.
- Own the full portfolio of Land systems as primary application support contact.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead efforts in mapping and analyzing Land business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
- Own vendor relationships for Land systems, including logging software defects and enhancement requests and leading upgrade/hot-fix testing and deployments.
- Ensure adherence to change management policies and procedures, including documenting and implementing system changes in compliance with established controls.
- Maintain back-end system configuration and implement updates to support Land business processes.
- Provide end-user support and training as required, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization of applications and solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of related work experience in software/application support or business analysis.
- Working knowledge of Land applications such as Quorum Land, Peloton LandView, IFS Land, or equivalent systems.
- Prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years dedicated to business analysis, process mapping, and requirements gathering.
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent a plus
- Exposure to AI-assisted development platforms (e.g., Claude Code) and modern infrastructure/cloud tooling for building or hosting internal tools is a plus.
