Job Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst with experience in grants management to support the analysis, design, and optimization of systems and processes that enable effective grant administration. This role will partner with business stakeholders, research teams, and IS to ensure solutions align with regulatory requirements, funding guidelines, and organizational goals.

Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business leaders, end-users, and subject matter experts, to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions. The role involves analyzing and documenting business processes, gathering and clarifying requirements, and facilitating communication between business and technical teams. Essential Functions:

  • Gathers and documents current and future state business processes, functional and non-functional requirements, and carries out stakeholder needs assessments. Ensures that business requirements align with the overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Facilitates communication between business and IS teams, ensuring a common understanding of requirements and expectations.
  • Creates clear and concise documentation of business requirements, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications. Collaborates with quality assurance teams to develop test cases and validate results and may participate in the testing process to ensure that developed solutions meet the specified requirements.
  • Collaborates with project managers to establish project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Monitors project progress, identifies risks, and proposes solutions to mitigate potential issues.
  • Analyzes existing business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Collaborates with technical teams to assess the feasibility of any proposed solutions.
  • Assists in cost estimates and proposal documentation for funding requests (capital, operating, internal)

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of standards, best practices, methodologies, and frameworks associated with a healthcare industry, business process management, and the IT discipline.

  • Excellent communication skills with all types of employees and management.


Experience:

  • One year of experience in requirements analysis, project management, and systems implementations, required. Three years of experience, preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment, preferred.
  • Data analysis experience, preferred.
