The Business Analyst (BA) will work with other stakeholders within the organization to deliver the solutions by translating business needs into clear, actionable, and testable requirements that support predictable, highquality delivery.

BAs will function as a liaison betweenbusiness and technology by ensuring problems are well understood, solutions are feasible, and delivered outcomes meet intended business objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:

Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

  • Work closely with Product Managers (PdMs) and technology teams to evaluate processes, identify areas for improvement, constraints and provide solution clarity and feasibility.
  • Participate in stakeholder workshops with PdMs to identify needs and work with PdMs to analyse current vs. future-state processes, produce product/solution wireframes, process flows, data flows and capture user stories.
  • Translate epics and features from PdM into detailed business requirements. The BA will elicit business requirements, analyse data, and create requirements that align with a product’s vision and strategy. Identifydependencies, constraints, and edge cases
  • Perform impact analysis of proposed solution on existing systems and make recommendations to minimize impact, complexity or cost of solution.
  • Interpret data and their trends to identify business opportunities, enhance system performance and make recommendations to the business (add to product backlog)
  • Work with PdMs and business stakeholders to identify cost and value points for assigned solutions/capabilities
  • BAs will function as a liaison between business and technology group to provide clarification and support in order to assure business requirements are feasible andimplemented correctly.
  • Clearly define acceptance criteria, assist development teams with requirements traceability and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure solutions meet defined business needs
  • Product areas may include and are not limited to SaaS products and/or related 3rd party solutions, system integrations, dashboards and reports.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC), especially agile methodology
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with clinical trials, patient safety, data integrity and associated regulations desired
  • Familiarity with GxP or other regulated environments (eg trading systems)
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation planning strategies
  • Understanding of SaaS application and integration architectures and how they can and should be utilized to achieve business goals
  • Familiarity with user experience concepts and best practices
  • Familiarity with modelling tools (e.g. MS Visio, PowerPoint), UX tools (Balsamiq, Figma) and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), and portfolio and requirements management tools (JIRA, DevOps, OnePlan)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc degree in Business, Business Analysis, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role Experience maybe considered in lew of a degree.
  • Proven experience in business analysis, translating business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Proven experience analysing processes, complex data sets,business workflowsand translating epics and features into detailed business requirements. Experience with identifying dependencies, constraints, and edge cases, creating use cases and user stories.
  • Experience in producing product/solution wireframes, process flows, data flows and aligning them with different user personas and functional areas.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams to meet strategic objectives, influence decisions and provide conflict resolution.
  • 5+ years experienceworking with clinical trial systems/applications and understanding of the computer systems utilized in support of clinical trials

Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience. Personnel are evaluated on proven competency, level of responsibility, and ability to work independently.
