We are currently seeking an analytical, detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Business Analyst III. As a Business Analyst III at Blood Cancer United, you will lead the BA effort across multiple complex enterprise-wide projects/programs. You will plan the business analysis effort, review deliverables to ensure quality, offering training and mentoring. You will feel comfortable operating as an individual contributor with potential for management or mentoring of other business analysts.
Responsibilities:
Leadership – Serve as mentor and guide to more junior analysts, fostering a collaborative team environment and enhancing professional development. Experience in contributing to the development of a BA framework and knowledge sharing to support consistency of practice to drive adoption of BA and PMO standards, tools and best practice.
Requirements Elicitation - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes and requirements for internal projects and initiatives. Lead the analysis efforts which may involve conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to elicit requirements effectively while identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement. Conduct reviews and walkthroughs to ensure requirements accurately reflect the stakeholder’s expectations and priorities. Oversee and/or prepare thorough analysis and documentation of business processes, workflow and requirements for new systems and tools and/or changes or enhancements to existing systems and tools.
Requirements Analysis & Documentation – Develop and maintain agile based project documentation, including business requirements, scope documentation, process/activity diagrams, and other relevant documentation using standardized templates and tools to support new and enhanced business processes and platforms. Ensure that documentation is clear, concise, and accurately reflects stakeholders' needs. Ability to conduct interviews, facilitate workshops, develop process flows/workflow modeling to validate understanding of business processes and requirements.
Process Analysis & Documentation – Conduct interviews/facilitate workshops to identify business process improvement candidates, explore potential improvements and document current and future state processes. Lead conversations to improve existing processes. Observe, record, and analyze operational findings to identify client performance improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement - Build and cultivate relationships, foster a culture of collaboration while partnering with stakeholders to increase stakeholder buy-in and engagement. Serve as primary point of contact for your internal stakeholders, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns. Establish a trusted partnership with your stakeholders so that they trust your ability to represent their needs in their absence. Own stakeholder engagement across the full delivery lifecycle, leading workshops and elicitation sessions, surfacing and resolving misalignment early, and ensuring that business needs are accurately and consistently represented across all workstreams.
Communication - Serve as the strategic communication bridge between business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams. Drive alignment across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, by leading structured workshops, facilitating refinement and sprint planning sessions, and proactively managing stakeholder expectations to ensure a shared understanding of goals, priorities, and decisions throughout delivery.
Testing Support - Participate in testing activities by facilitating UAT. This may include test execution and defect management. Work with QA team to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
Collaboration - Partner with interdepartmental teams (business, training, communication, change management) in support of project and enhancement delivery. Help foster a culture of partnership with internal teams and stakeholders. Partners closely with the Program Manager as a peer to drive outcomes, while maintaining autonomy to independently plan, execute, and deliver business analysis workstreams.
Continuous Improvement - Leads continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating current-state processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, and translating insights into actionable requirements. Collaborates cross functionally to implement enhancements that improve efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes.
Enhance and monitor the performance of various business units to provide proactive insights to improve strategic business processes which align to overall corporate or departmental objectives.

Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience as a business analyst or similar role.
• CBAP or similar certification ideal.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated experience applying Lean tools (e.g., value stream mapping, Kaizen, root cause analysis) to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience with Agile frameworks and tools a plus.
• Proven experience with process improvement, development, documentation & diagramming.
• Ability to lead and mentor more junior members of the BA team.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in systems such as Monday.com, Jira, Mural, Lucidchart desired.
• Experience in the nonprofit industry ideal but not required.

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $76K to $110K. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Blood Cancer United we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
