  Facilitate the gathering of themes, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support current DPS projects and priorities.
• 
  Analyze existing requirements documentation to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• 
  Support project and development teams on initiatives to improve agency effectiveness.
• 
  Support initiatives to enhance compliance with applicable statutes.
• 
  Support initiatives to enhance service delivery capabilities.
• 
  Facilitate project development and quality assurance discussions to gather story points for a predictive level of effort model.
• 
  Create themes, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria according to Agency standards.
• 
  Convert existing use cases into actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in Jira.
• 
  Analyze existing process documentation and document opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• 
  Support the development and implementation of various agency initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  4 years of experience in the field or a related field as a senior-level Business Analyst (technical/emerging technology).
• 
  4 years of experience with a basic working knowledge of Agile project management methodology/practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  1 year of experience understanding and documenting use cases.
• 
  1 year of experience with process documentation mapping.

Additional Requirements:

• 
  Local candidates only; must currently reside within 50 miles of the Austin, Texas work location.
• 
  May be required to work outside normal business hours (weekends, evenings, holidays) as requested.
• 
  Total hours per candidate shall not exceed 2,080 for the contract period of 09/01/2026 through 08/31/2027.
