Job Description

The Business Analyst II is responsible for identifying and documenting business needs including understanding their structure, processes and operations. They will work in the BDO (Business Development Operations) team, and interact with all areas of the business, including but not limited to accounting, supply, marketing, scheduling, and IT. Responsible for partnering with the internal stakeholders to collaboratively generate creative ideas, problem solve, and gather business requirements to develop solutions to new and/or missing data in the applicable systems. Up to 10% travel may be required.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with business owners on needs related to appropriate technologies and translates them into actionable requirements.

  • Discover new opportunities to optimize the business through improved processes and functional enhancements.

  • Partner with the Information Systems team to plan and execute projects in a timely manner while delivering upon the user’s expectations.

  • Work with leadership to assess current processes, systems, and tools to update and ensure the most efficient project or delivery lifecycle.

  • Provide production and end user support for all systems-related needs in the CTRM RightAngle.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business or related field preferred.

  • 2-5 years of experience in the fuels industry strongly preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to multitask to balance immediate and long/term priorities preferred with highly effective oral and written communication required.

  • Proficiency in RightAngle required.

  • Experience using PowerBi and Excel is a plus.

  • Experience using ServiceNow is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains partnerships across applicable areas of the business to proactively identify areas where technology can drive efficiency or revenue generation while delivering a high quality product.
  • Develops and documents requirements for technology solutions that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and drive revenue and scalability to the business.
  • Develops user acceptance test plans, test scenarios and manages execution of UAT while documenting results and communicating to senior leadership outcomes and timelines.
  • Owns communication and documentation of system upgrades from a use-experience perspective to business and IT stakeholders, including the development of roadmap for testing, communication and deployment.
  • Collaborates with business owners on needs related to appropriate technologies and translates them into actionable requirements; tracks budgets and timelines throughout process.
  • Discovers new opportunities to optimize the business through improved processes and functional enhancements.
  • Partners with the Information Systems team to plan and execute projects in a timely manner while delivering upon the customer’s expectations.
  • Works with leadership to assess current processes, systems, and tools to update and ensure the most efficient project or delivery lifecycle.
  • Provides production and end user support for all systems-related needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a business analyst or experience of SDLC management (Agile, DevOps, Lean, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to multitask to balance immediate and long/term priorities preferred with highly effective oral and written communication
  • Experience in SQL and Power BI preferred.
  • Facilitation skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams preferred
