Job Description


As a Business Analyst, you will:

  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, data domain owners, and software engineering teams.

  • Analyse regulatory and business requirements and translate them into scalable IT solutions.

  • Design sustainable and compliant reporting solutions for the Commercial Finance domain.

  • Work closely with Scrum teams to define Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria in Azure DevOps Boards.

  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile delivery activities.

  • Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure successful implementation of reporting solutions.

  • Perform data analysis and validate financial reporting outputs for accuracy and compliance.

  • Work on regulatory reporting processes aligned with Basel frameworks and accounting standards.

  • Participate in software testing, validation, and reconciliation activities.

  • Ensure reporting data is auditable, accurate, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

  • Create clear and unambiguous functional and solution design documentation.

  • Support continuous improvement of reporting systems, data flows, and operational processes.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services environments.

  • Strong experience in regulatory reporting and Commercial Finance processes.

  • Solid understanding of Basel regulations, accounting principles, and risk concepts.

  • Hands-on experience working with financial data structures and data processing frameworks.

  • Strong expertise in Azure DevOps Boards, including backlog management and sprint planning.

  • Practical experience in SQL for data querying and analysis.

  • Good working knowledge of XML, XSD, and CSV file structures.

  • Advanced Excel skills for reconciliation and financial data validation.

  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.

  • Experience supporting testing, validation, and regulatory compliance activities.

  • Strong documentation and solution design capabilities.

You should possess the ability to:

  • Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into functional IT solutions.

  • Analyse large volumes of financial and regulatory data efficiently.

  • Design reporting solutions that are compliant, scalable, and auditable.

  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Create detailed and developer-ready functional specifications.

  • Manage priorities across multiple sprint and backlog activities.

  • Perform data reconciliation and identify inconsistencies within reporting systems.

  • Understand financial data structures in a business and regulatory context.

  • Support software development teams during implementation and testing phases.

  • Communicate effectively with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.

  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes on systems, reporting, and data processes.
