TRS is an agency of the State of Illinois governed by a Board of Trustees. Full-and part-time employees are eligible for the State of Illinois comprehensive benefits program which includes medical, dental and vision coverage. All employees hired after August 17, 2001 participate in the TRS retirement pension plan. Employees also have the option to contribute to additional State of Illinois deferred compensation plans. Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Quality & Compliance, this position will collaborate with key business users, cross-functional teams and IT staff to ensure IT solutions meet business needs. The incumbent will develop, interpret, review, validate, document and maintain business and functional requirements for software applications.
This position serves as the primary interface between business users and IT staff to determine feasibility, research, identify and present options that best serve TRS business needs. This position may be required to present formal presentations to end users, stakeholders and management. In addition, this position will participate in application acceptance testing, identify potential problems, and assist with researching opportunities to minimize complexity and develop stronger systems and processes.
The incumbent must possess excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills with ke1n attention to detail. The ability to easily assimilate information and learn new applications and processes is required. The incumbent must be creative and innovative. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum methodology. Must possess the ability to work in a team setting and be motivated to work at the highest level to achieve success during Sprint work.
