Business Analyst – Financial Crime Compliance

About the Role
We have an 12 month fixed term opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the team.
This role will have focus on financial crime compliance and support the delivery of key business and initiatives within this space. Working closely with the Senior Business Analysts and Product Owners, you will play a critical role in gathering, analysing, and documenting requirements, while contributing to the successful delivery of business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Senior Business Analysts, Product Owners and Road Managers to define and manage key personal deliverables
Identify and engage stakeholders to gather and validate requirements
Facilitate meetings and workshops to collect business information
Support the definition of project objectives, opportunities, and outcomes
Analyse business needs, processes, data, and regulatory requirements
Develop process maps (current and future state) and identify gaps and improvements
Document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications
Undertaking quality assurance of new solutions, including policies, processes and procedures and supporting testing of technology solutions through UAT and BAT
Identifying risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions and proposing mitigations
Providing input to board, committee and management reporting
3-4 years' experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services
Working understanding of operations in the Financial Services sector and basic knowledge of major regulations applying to the financial sector.
Familiarity with regulatory or compliance‑driven delivery environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Ability to document and interpret business and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with process mapping and documentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
