About Duke Regional Hospital

Pursue your passion for caring with Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. With 388 beds it is the second largest of Duke Health's four hospitals and offers a comprehensive range ofmedical, surgical, and diagnostic services, including orthopedics, weight-loss surgery, women's services, and heart and vascular services.


Analyze and evaluate various sources of clinical and financial data in support of clinical service lines to reduce costs, improve quality and further the goals and objectives of hospital administration.

Location: 1301 Fayetteville Street Durham, NC 27707

Schedule: 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm; 1 hour lunch

Work Performed

Business Analyst Role would provide centralized financial oversight and accountability for LCHC Pharmacy including:
• Maintain working knowledge regarding pharmacy operations, billing, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Invoice for medications and supplies covered under special funding. Manages invoices in department and transfer funds to correct accounts.
• Assist management in budget preparation including forecasting supported by historical information and business practice changes.
• Track pharmacy’s fiscal year spend by account. Collaborate with department leadership and appropriate personnel to ensure budgetary compliance.
• Reconciling Medicare claims through CMS’s Medicare Transaction Facilitator and Beacon dashboards
• Building and submitting manufacturer claim-level reports
• Managing implementation of any 340B Rebate Model Program
• Reconciling Medicaid claims across multiple Pharmacy Benefit Administrators
• Preventing duplicate discounts across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
• Responding to Good Faith Inquiries and supporting audit preparation
• Working with the Pharmacy Services Administrative Organization to recover unpaid and underpaid claims
• Maintaining financial reconciliation records
• Providing financial analysis of drug reimbursements and trends

• Other responsibilties as assigned

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or a related business field
