The role

Rabobank is seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in banking, particularly across deposits products, to support key growth initiatives that enhance the client experience. You will work closely with business stakeholders, the digital product team and cross-functional squads to ensure initiatives are clearly defined, customer‑led, and aligned to strategic objectives. Partnered with the digital Product Owner, you will be responsible for shaping problem statements and opportunities before they enter delivery, ensuring clarity on the underlying “why” and the value each initiative aims to deliver.

Top Role Accountabilities:

  • Work with the Product Owner/Product Lead to shape initiatives, refine problem statements, and ensure alignment with product strategy & business outcomes.
  • Partner closely with business teams to provide clarity on the value, purpose, benefits, and expected outcomes of initiatives.
  • Develop current and future state process models and identify opportunities for optimisation and simplification across the client journey.
  • Lead end‑to‑end business analysis activities, including workshops & working groups, to validate assumptions, understand pain points, and shape business-led requirements before solutioning.
  • Support delivery through documenting user stories and engaging in delivery and implementation.
  • Contribute to change management activities including rollout, training, and adoption to ensure solutions are embedded effectively and deliver intended outcomes.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services.
  • Strong exposure to deposit products and business growth initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working across the end-to-end client journey including understanding customer problems, insights and translating these into business opportunities.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical & non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience working in agile and hybrid work environments.
  • A collaborative mindset and the confidence to challenge, influence, and advocate to achieve the best outcomes
