Job Description

Job ID: 5557

We are seeking a driven and curious Business Analyst to join our Data & AI team at Nordea Asset Management. This role sits at the intersection of business transformation and technology, playing a central part in how we design, implement, and scale our data and AI capabilities. From driving the adoption of a data mesh architecture to piloting cutting-edge AI tools and enabling agentic workflows, you will be a key connector between business teams and technical delivery.

At Nordea, we see that the world is changing fast – and we want to be one step ahead of the curve. That's why we're deeply committed to providing the financial solutions of tomorrow to our customers. We’re building an agile environment where we experiment and grow together, and we welcome fresh ideas and diverse backgrounds to strengthen the team.

Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the asset management arm of the Nordea Group, the leading financial services group in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. The group has more than 30,000 employees. NAM has around 900 employees and manages more than EUR 325 billion of assets for institutional, wholesale, and retail clients across the Nordic region and the globe.

About this opportunity

You will join our Data & AI team based in Oeiras, a cross-functional group focused on transforming how NAM leverages data and artificial intelligence across the organisation. We are building a solid foundation around data mesh, AI technologies, and agentic workflows to simplify our processes, unlock new capabilities, and reinvent the ways of working of tomorrow. You will have the chance to apply your analytical knowledge to real-world business challenges and be part of a deep transformation fuelled by data and AI in one of Europe's leading asset managers.

  • The role is based in Oeiras (Quinta da Fonte).
  • It’s expected you to work 100% on-site in the first 6 months and after on an Hybrid regime (3 days in the Office + 2 days from home).

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive the end-to-end management of AI use cases — from ideation and scoping through to piloting, evaluation, and scaling.
  • Support the implementation of data mesh across the organisation, working with domain teams to define and deliver data products, establish ownership, and embed data management best practices.
  • Test and evaluate AI tools and solutions, providing structured and actionable feedback to inform adoption decisions.
  • Contribute to the transformation toward agentic platforms and workflows, helping teams understand and adapt to new ways of working.
  • Translate business processes and requirements into technical solutions, and communicate technical concepts back to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, data engineers, and AI engineers to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively and aligned with business goals.
  • Facilitate workshops, manage project deliverables, track progress, and keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout delivery.
