The Business Analyst is a member of St. Luke’s Physician Group (SLPG) and is responsible for working with Specialty Care leadership to develop analyses, identify improvement opportunities, and implement various initiatives that will optimize the Specialty Care division’s performance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and present analyses outlining historic and projected performance trends.
  • Identify strategic and tactical improvement opportunities in conjunction with SLPG leadership that will optimize Specialty Care’s performance.
  • Lead specified Specialty Care initiatives in a project management capacity under the guidance VP, Specialty Care while collaborating and communicating with SLPG project management resources.
  • Participate in key Specialty Care activities and support planning and development of meeting agendas, meeting summaries and action plans; and ensure necessary action items are addressed by responsible stakeholders.
  • Support Specialty Care leadership in development of various deliverables and outputs (e.g., presentations, reports, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a monthly approach to review/report key Specialty Care performance indicators with leadership.
  • Collaborate with other internal functions and develop internal relationships to develop personal brand and affect necessary change within the Network.
  • Assist in the strategic planning and preparation for various monthly and annual processes (e.g., provider FTEs, non-provider FTEs, space planning, etc.).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to eight (8) hours per day, three hours at a time. Frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands and upper extremities to lift up to thirty pounds. Frequently stoops, bends and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony when reading reports and viewing computer screen.

EDUCATION:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration (or relevant major), Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience is required.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one to three years of business and/or decision support experience is required. Experience working in a team environment and affecting change with informal authority is preferred. Must be proficient with as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
