Job Title:

Business Analyst

and Description:

• Extensive knowledge of SWIFT messages, securities products, FX, and cash settlements.
• Handle new business or client service requests to automate client transactions using internal system workflow tools.
• Draft user stories, review them with IT leads, manage tasks on the BAU board, and oversee the implementation of multiple projects at once.
• Support the onboarding of clients or Investment Managers' SWIFT messages into State Street’s custody and accounting systems.
• Strong understanding of inbound securities, FX, cash, and time deposit market practices and their application.
• Conduct analysis, validation, and production release for assigned projects or cases.
• Meet with business, client service teams, or clients to discuss file automation, perform thorough testing of client files, and provide accurate feedback or recommendations.
• Monitor project or file progress from start to finish and provide regular status updates.
• Triage production issues and advise the business team on resolution steps.
• Respond to various business-related questions.
• Investigate inquiries from different State Street departments and ensure that any implementation issues are resolved.
• Maintain and update internal procedures as needed.
• Coordinate weekend production checkouts.

The BA Manager will oversee a team of business analysts and subject matter experts, in addition to managing multiple automation projects related to securities, cash, FX, and time deposit file/blotter automation for back office functions. Responsibilities include daily interaction with business and client-side stakeholders, providing timely feedback and suggestions to improve STP rates, generating SWIFT-like messages from client data via the blotter, and testing them in downstream applications to ensure compliance with market and SSC standards. The role also involves proactively resolving production issues and escalating or highlighting them promptly when necessary.

Must Have Skills:

Onboarding client / Investment Managers SWIFT messages into Custody and Accounting applications

Experience working in various security products like equities, bonds, fixed incomes, derivatives, short term securities and more.

Understanding the business processes and business requirements as they relate to Transaction Management and the platforms that process these transactions.

Experience working in SWIFT MT Messages

Working as part of deployment Team, including analysis, testing, and Experience in working with client servicing teams and clients.

Good to Have Skills:

Knowledge of ISO20022 and MX swift messages

Experience in transaction management, Securities settlement, Back Office and Middle office process

Knowledge of the different security types , regulations and other market practices related to processing of trades
