We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Advanced to support a major application migration and modernization initiative. This role will focus on analyzing, documenting, and supporting system changes as applications are transitioned from a legacy environment to a new platform.

This is a newly created position intended to support long-term modernization efforts.

oFully onsite initially in Columbia, SC

oEligible for telecommuting up to 2 days per week after 3 months, contingent upon project milestones and approval

·Candidate Residency Requirement:

oMust be a South Carolina resident

oNo relocation allowed

·Possibility for Extension: Yes

Responsibilities

·Elicit, analyze, and document business rules, processes, and system requirements

·Support government IT projects through business analysis and documentation

·Participate in system development life cycle (SDLC) activities

·Collaborate with technical teams during application migration and modernization

·Assist with data analysis and validation using SQL

·Support project documentation and stakeholder communication

·Use standard business analysis tools and methodologies to support project goals

Required Qualifications

·Education:

oBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

oRelevant experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

·5+ years of experience working on Government IT projects as a Business Analyst or in related roles

·5+ years of experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business rules, processes, and requirements

·1+ year of hands-on experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

·1+ year of experience working with SQL databases

Preferred Qualifications

·IIBA certifications, such as:

oCBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)

oCCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis)

·PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) certification

·1+ year of experience using JIRA and Microsoft Office products
