ABOUT THE ROLE

Working closely with Agile delivery teams, the Business Analyst will partner with Product Managers, Technical Leads and Stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable solutions. This role bridges the gap between customer requirements and technical delivery, helping teams make informed decisions through clear analysis, structured requirements, and continuous discovery.

What part will you play?

  • Gather, document, and manage business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Map and analyze existing business processes, workflows, and system interactions to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.Contribute to solution design, supporting across discovery, design, build, test, and delivery phases.

  • Create comprehensive documentation including process diagrams, data flows, system interactions, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and business rules.

  • Lead backlog planning and refinement activities, translating business requirements into epics, features, and user stories.

  • Work closely with teams to develop visuals such as wireframes and system/data flow diagrams that clarify requirements.

  • Work with delivery teams to plan, prioritize and coordinate work, ensuring successful implementation of requirements and process improvements.

  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and working sessions to capture user needs, business objectives, and system capabilities and ensure ongoing alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Contribute to refining business analysis practices, tools, and processes.

SALARY

  • The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $130,000 + superannuation.

ABOUT YOU

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Technology or Business Information Systems.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the payments industry with solid understanding of acquiring systems, payment processing workflows, and integrations

  • Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and translating requirements into user stories and documentation

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence with proficiency in process modeling and diagramming tools

  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and explain complex concepts.

  • Proactive problem solver with an interest in understanding and resolving complex issues

  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and teams

  • Strong attention to detail, especially in process analysis and documentation

  • Good critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to analyze complex data and identify solutions.
