This is a great opportunity to join an exciting business with high growth potential for the right candidate. This role will assist with research and analysis required to inform the strategic planning, operational planning and forecasts for the business including but not limited to market mapping, competitive assessments, value chain mapping, trend analysis for key performance metrics such as a sales, orders, pricing, share gain, attrition, profitability etc. The Business Analyst will not only be responsible for data analysis but also interpretation and visualization of the data using sophisticated tools to inform key business decisions and presentations to senior management.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering with experience in Data Analytics in applicable field or industry, ideally in Refining, Chemical, or Industrial applications.
Preference: MBA, MS in Business Analysis, MS in Data Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
Basic design and manufacturing principals, Bills of Material, marketing and sales principles, methods and practices; applications and sales territories; technical product applications and documentations; customer service principles, practices and procedures.
Identify market and customer needs and make recommendations; research pricing, shipping and discounting terms and conditions by product line and account; exercise initiative in independently researching and resolving inquiries and problems; prepare clear and concise business correspondence; organize, assign and coordinate work to meet scheduled deadlines including preparation of samples and test reports; make mathematical computations quickly and accurately; understand and follow written and verbal instructions; communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers, departmental representatives, sales representatives, management, customers and vendors. Analyze data for trends on business to develop and present insights to leadership team.
May be required to travel up to 25% on company business to interact with customers.
