Join us as a Business Analyst at Barclays where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence.
To be successful as a Business Analyst , you should have experience with:
• Deep Cards & Payments domain knowledge, including card payment life cycle, scheme processing and payment flows
• Strong Merchant Acquiring knowledge, including authorization, clearing, chargebacks, dispute management and acquiring products
• Good understanding of Pricing, Billing and Settlement processes, including fee structures, merchant billing and settlement operations
• Excellent stakeholder communication and engagement skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology teams and influence senior stakeholders
• Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process mapping and functional specifications
• Working knowledge of JIRA and Agile delivery methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning and refinement
• Understanding of risk, controls, compliance and regulatory requirements within the payments and acquiring domain
Some other highly valued skills may include:
• Knowledge of AI tools and productivity platforms (e.g., Copilot, GenAI-assisted analysis, documentation and reporting tools)
• Experience with data analysis and reporting, including interpretation of business and operational metrics
• Familiarity with API integrations, digital payments ecosystems and modern payment architectures
• Experience supporting pricing transformation, scheme initiatives, merchant servicing or payments modernization programmes
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops, process re-engineering and business change initiatives
• Knowledge of SQL, data mapping and system integration analysis
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Operations and Scheme partners (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on customer outcomes, operational efficiency and value delivery
