About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Business Analysis Practice. This is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent role based at our Oldham office, with hybrid working that combines office-based days for collaboration with the flexibility of working from home.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in designing and delivering business change across our organisation. Working on a diverse portfolio of projects, you will own end-to-end business analysis activities, helping to define innovative solutions, improve business processes, and deliver measurable benefits. You will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners to ensure business needs are fully understood and translated into successful outcomes.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who is passionate about driving improvement and delivering successful change. You will have a proven ability to take projects from initial discovery through to operational acceptance, building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring business requirements are clearly defined and managed throughout the delivery lifecycle.

You will be comfortable working across waterfall, iterative and agile environments, using your analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to support evidence-based decision-making. Most importantly, you will enjoy collaborating with others, challenging constructively, and helping teams achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills:

  • Proven track record of working autonomously as Business Analyst on a range of projects from initiation through to operational acceptance.
  • Experience of requirements management through the full software delivery lifecycle.
  • Experience of business process modelling methods, with a proven track record of delivering quantifiable process improvements through the application of different techniques.
  • Significant Business Analysis experience and prior coverage of delivering in waterfall/iterative/agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience of using data to enable evidenced based decision making.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively lead, facilitate and provide constructive challenge.
  • Excellent written, numerical, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of Cloud Adoption projects and programmes.
  • Experience of core housing and/ or property maintenance business processes.
  • Proficient in the use of software delivery and collaboration tools.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Partial (or working towards) BCS Diploma in Business Analysis.
  • IT or Business related degree or relevant professional experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Process re-engineering/improvement accreditation.
