About the role

We're looking for a motivated and collaborative Business Analyst to join our Project Delivery and Portfolio Management team on a fixed-term basis. In this role, you'll work across a range of transformation initiatives, translating regulatory and operational needs into clear insights, requirements, and recommendations that support informed decision-making.

You'll engage with stakeholders from across the organisation to gather requirements, analyse business problems, explore options, and help shape future ways of working. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with project teams, subject matter experts, and leaders to support the successful delivery of a major transformation programme.

These roles are initially offered on a one-year fixed-term basis while the business case progresses through approval. We recognise that means taking a degree of risk. Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, document, and validate business requirements across transformation initiatives
• Facilitate workshops and work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify business needs, opportunities, and solutions
• Undertake options analysis, scenario modelling, and impact assessments to support evidence-based decision-making
• Contribute to project planning, design activities, and implementation approaches
• Provide high-quality analysis, advice, and documentation to project managers, sponsors, and decision-makers
• Lead the resolution of issues or conflicts within the business analysis work and support problem solving activities to enable delivery.
• Ensure decisions, requirements, and recommendations are appropriately documented and traceable
• Present findings and recommendations in clear written, visual, and verbal formats tailored to different audiences
• Support continuous improvement of business analysis practices, tools, and methodologies

The salary band for this role is $98,689 – $120,941 Starting salaries are based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role you'll demonstrate:

• Experience as a Business Analyst within a complex and fast-paced environment
• Accreditation or certification in business analysis, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements
• Working knowledge of business analysis frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
• Excellent facilitation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in plain language
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• A collaborative and adaptable approach, with a focus on achieving positive business outcomes

Experience with Better Business Case (BBC) methodologies, BABOK, or IIBA certification would be advantageous.
