You'll understand business requirements and processes and identify business technology and/or process & information opportunities, working with business and Technology Services managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups to identify, analyze, document, and prioritize business, functional, and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with project and business goals.
  • Lead feasibility studies, and develop business models, business cases, usability requirements analysis, and evaluations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Proactively identify and address issues that may affect the execution of strategic, operational, or project plans, offering timely solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, systems analysts, developers, and quality assurance analysts to ensure that requirements are clearly defined, understood, actionable, and testable.
  • Oversee the successful completion of end-user testing, ensuring that defects are tracked, addressed, and resolved in alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Present complex technical information in a simplified, understandable format for both technical and non-technical audiences to facilitate decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coach and mentor junior business analysts, fostering capability development, aligning them with best practices, and ensuring adherence to compliance policies and procedures.

Key Deliverables

  • Analyse, and document requirements (business, functional, and non-functional)
  • Work with key stakeholders to prioritize requirements most beneficial to the business
  • Ensure compliance with Global Technology Services strategies, enterprise architecture, and best practices as well as all relevant local/regional/global governmental regulations
  • Reinforce the project goals and objectives to prevent scope creep/gold plating
  • Recommend solution options which directly impact the success of a project or initiative
  • Effectively communicate with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, systems analysts, developers, and quality assurance analysts to ensure requirements are clearly stated, buildable, and testable
  • Oversee the successful completion of User Acceptance Testing, tracking testing progress and defect resolution

Technical and Application Knowledge

Experience

  • 3+ years business analysis experience
  • Experience within an IT focussed role
  • Experience with Waterfall, Hybrid, and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with the software delivery lifecycle
  • Proven success in improving the customer experience
  • Experience working within a matrix structure
  • Experience working remotely with globally scattered users and teams
  • Experience influencing others with limited/no direct authority

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business, relevant business field preferred
  • Certifications preferred:
    • IIBA – ECBA, CCBA, CBAP
    • PMI – PBA
    • Six Sigma
