Job Description

Everforth ECS is seeking a Business Analyst to work in our Fairfax, VA office on the Secure Unclassified Network (SUNet) Enterprise Infrastructure Program. SUNet is a DoD-owned, contractor-managed platform that houses multiple U.S. Government Mission Partner Enclaves, each with a unique set of data, applications, and information systems/sub-systems that support the development of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) algorithms.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and driven Business Analyst with strong leadership and facilitation skills who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This individual will help mature the team's Agile processes, foster cross-functional collaboration, and enable successful program execution through effective communication, organization, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and passionate about enabling teams to work more effectively through Agile and Scrum methodologies.

This position reports directly to the SUNet Cyber Infrastructure Lead.

Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible for supporting centralized SUNet Cyber Infrastructure administration and coordination initiatives while championing Agile best practices across the team. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Partner with:
    • Program leadership to mature the team's Agile processes and transition work toward a Scrum-based operating model.
    • Technical teams, program management, cybersecurity, engineering, and customer stakeholders to ensure priorities remain aligned and work progresses efficiently.
  • Act as a servant leader by removing impediments, improving team collaboration, and promoting continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items.
  • Manage and maintain the Jira product backlog, ensuring work is properly prioritized, estimated, and tracked.
  • Develop and maintain:
    • Agile metrics and dashboards, including sprint velocity, burndown charts, throughput, and other team performance metrics.
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and knowledge management artifacts.
  • Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and action items while facilitating timely resolution.
  • Coordinate Maintenance Window activities, ticket management, and post-maintenance reporting.
  • Support:
    • Short-term, high-priority initiatives requiring cross-functional coordination and execution.
    • Daily operational activities for SUNet leadership and technical teams, including Jira, Confluence, meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and collaboration across matrixed organizations.
  • Prepare executive briefings, reports, presentations, and status updates for internal leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Capture and distribute formal meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up documentation.
  • Assist project managers with project planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, documentation, and quality reviews.
  • Serve as a strong facilitator and team leader, fostering collaboration, accountability, and effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings across cross-functional teams, including preparing agendas, documenting decisions, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, roadblocks, and process improvement opportunities, driving issues to resolution with minimal direction.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, transparency, continuous improvement, and Agile best practices across the program.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related STEM discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Project Coordinator, or related role supporting technical programs.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ (or higher) or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum framework with experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to influence teams and drive collaboration without direct supervisory authority.
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination skills with experience managing multiple meetings, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proactive, adaptable, and flexible, with the ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities, emerging requirements, and dynamic customer needs.
  • Self-motivated and driven with a strong desire to continuously learn, take on new challenges, and grow professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across cross-functional teams and all levels of leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and anticipate team needs while maintaining a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience:
    • Gathering, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements.
    • Creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining Agile backlogs.
    • Using Atlassian Jira and Confluence to manage Agile projects and team workflows.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical teams, leadership, and government stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking while managing multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams without direct authority and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
