Job Description
About ASI Solutions
ASI Solutions is an Australian-owned technology partner focused on making lives easier through agile, reliable technology at scale. For nearly 40 years, ASI has supported education, government, and commercial organisations as technology environments have grown more complex and more critical to performance. Our approach is practical and outcomes-led - we take the time to understand what matters to each organisation before designing and delivering right-sized, de-risked solutions across managed services, cloud, security, data and AI, and digital skills. With national capability and local delivery teams, ASI helps customers move forward with clarity and confidence.
What you will be working in
You'll be joining our Internal Systems team - the engine room that keeps ASI running smoothly. This team partners across every part of the business to ensure our people have the tools, processes, and systems they need to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers. It's a collaborative, fast-moving environment where your work has a direct and visible impact on the way ASI operates day to day.
The opportunity
As our Business Analyst, you'll be the critical bridge between ASI's business teams and our technical delivery function. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their goals, uncover operational challenges, and translate those insights into clear, actionable plans. From discovery and requirements gathering through to delivery coordination and UAT, you'll own the full lifecycle of internal improvement initiatives - spanning modern workplace, automation, AI, cloud, and service delivery.
This is a role for someone who thrives on making complexity simple, brings people together around shared outcomes, and genuinely enjoys the challenge of turning a business problem into a well-scoped solution.
What you'll be doing
- Leading discovery workshops and interviews with internal teams to surface business context, user workflows, and technical constraints
- Translating complex requirements into clear artefacts - functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Partnering with Technical Leads and Project Managers to support prioritisation, sprint planning, and delivery sequencing
- Acting as the functional subject matter expert during build and implementation phases, managing scope and clarifying requirements for engineers
- Facilitating UAT and developing test scripts to ensure solutions meet agreed business objectives
- Building trusted, consultative relationships with stakeholders - balancing technical realities with business urgency, and communicating trade-offs with clarity
- Navigating ASI's core delivery platforms (Autotask, ITGlue) to track progress, maintain documentation, and support seamless handover to the support team
A bit about you
You're a natural connector - someone who listens well, asks the right questions, and knows how to bring structure to ambiguity. You take ownership of your work from start to finish, communicate with clarity at all levels, and bring a calm, practical mindset to even the most complex stakeholder conversations.
You'll thrive here if you:
- Bring solid experience as a Business Analyst in business improvement, operations, or internal systems environments
- Have a demonstrated ability to uncover and document problems, map processes, and define requirements that enable delivery
- Are a confident communicator with strong written documentation skills - requirements docs, user stories, and process maps are second nature to you
- Can manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders without losing momentum or attention to detail
- Bring an analytical mindset that's always focused on practical, measurable outcomes
Essential criteria
- Strong experience working as a Business Analyst in business improvement, operations, or internal systems environments
- Demonstrated ability to document problems, map processes, and define requirements that drive delivery
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise work across multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
- Clear written communication and structured documentation skills
- Strong stakeholder management - able to influence, negotiate trade-offs, and maintain alignment
- Analytical and outcomes-focused mindset
Desirable criteria
- Experience in service operations or service management environments (ticketing workflows, SLAs, incident and request patterns)
- Familiarity with service delivery toolsets such as NetSuite, Autotask, ConnectWise, or IT documentation platforms
- Exposure to Lean, continuous improvement, automation, or workflow optimisation
- Experience supporting change adoption - communications, training support, readiness planning
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models alongside technical teams
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline - or equivalent practical experience
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certification or ITIL Foundation are well regarded
