Job Description

Role: Business Analyst

Location: Bangalore (5 days mandatory work from office)

Type: Full-time

Experience: 4+ years

Key Responsibilities

  • Current report usage and identify "must-have" vs. "nice-to-have" features
  • Extract and document fragmented business rules, calculation logic, and KPIs from legacy systems for the Tech Lead to codify.
  • Identify missing data elements and transformation gaps from a functional perspective, assessing how they impact business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business users to define reporting hierarchies and attribute mappings that reflect current organizational needs.
  • Design UAT ensuring that the reconstructed foundation and new dashboards meet business accuracy standards.
  • Assist the Tech Lead and onshore stakeholders in ranking deliverables based on business urgency and ROI.
  • Create documentation and training materials to help users transition from the Tableau interface to the new Power BI environment.

Must-Have Skills

  • Deep understanding of BI lifecycles, specifically regarding migration projects and data visualization best practices.
  • Expert in advanced SQL queries to perform independent data profiling and validation without relying solely on the engineering team.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed data mapping documents (Source-to-Target) and functional requirement specifications (FRS).
  • Familiarity with both Tableau and Power BI interfaces to understand the functional differences users will face.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to track down the source of data discrepancies during the reconciliation phase.

Graduate in Computer Science or related field. 3-6 years of experience in BA or related field.
