Job Title: Business Analyst - 3rd Party Risk

Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid

Legal Entity: Entergy Services, Inc.-ESI (OLD)

**This position will be filled as a Business Analyst II thru III, depending on experience**

/Purpose

This position is responsible for proactive & ongoing assessment of third-party risks as well as associated mitigations and reporting activities as part of Entergy’s internal third-party risk management program. This position is responsible to work cross-collaboratively with Entergy Procurement & Supply Chain, internal customers, and external Vendors to track, monitor, mitigate, and report on key risks. The role involves providing guidance as well as completing reports (including policies, programs, and procedures).

The position will help to ensure that processes are well documented, readily available, and effective. This role also supports and assists the Procurement & Supply Chain Organization and its customers with reporting, auditing, and consultative support to ensure full compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in Enterprise third-party risk management as well understanding of both risk management and information security frameworks.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the team and its suppliers always put safety first. Actively promote strong safety behaviors, utilizing key tools such as Close Call / Good Catch in addition to proactive field and office visits to review standards and behaviors. Monitors and influences suppliers and other stakeholders to proactively identify safety concerns.
  • Be a point of contact for Procurement & Supply Chain Third-Party Risk Management and support stakeholders through risk assessments, control tasks & remediation
  • Liaise with Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Information Security, Safety, Enterprise Risk and Information Technology as required
  • Perform vendor screenings and facilitate vendor screenings with other departments as needed
  • Conduct third-party risk assessments during initial and ongoing evaluation of vendors, identify risks inclusive of inherent and residual risks
  • Facilitate ongoing compliance with Third Party Management requirements outlined in policies and standards
  • Perform pre-contract due diligence activities based on specific third-party risk profile, country, and / or business requirement
  • Manage the distribution of and perform third-party risk review scorecards
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to identify and remediate third-party risks and track and report identified issues and risk remediation efforts
  • Support Internal Auditors and Ethics & Compliance functions during audits and examinations of Third-Party Risk
  • Perform quality control reviews for third-party risk management activities
  • Monitor progress on agreed upon third-party remediation activities and escalate issues as necessary
  • Liaise with Procurement & Supply Chain and Business Partners to provide guidance on policy compliance and overall third-party risk management requirements
  • Engage with Business Partners and Vendors while completing third-party controls
  • Execute common, standardized third-party risk management processes
  • Maintain healthy, positive, and valuable stakeholder relationships within the supply chain organization and with its customers and suppliers
  • Responsible for understanding, interpreting, and administering Supply Chain policies and procedures.
  • At all times, operate with highest ethical standards and in full compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, regulations and laws

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience. MS or MBA preferred. Professional supply chain/procurement certification.

Minimum experience required of the position

Analyst II Minimum 2-3 years preferred compliance, process or training experience (5 years’ experience without a degree). Preferred: 2-3 years of related Supply Chain experience supporting Utility and Operations business functions. Six Sigma, CPA or other Supply Chain related experience preferred

Analyst III Minimum 3-5 years preferred compliance, process or training experience (7 years’ experience without a degree). Preferred: 4-5 years of related Supply Chain experience supporting Utility and Operations business functions. Six Sigma, CPA or other Supply Chain related experience preferred

  • Strong customer service, collaboration, and relationship management knowledge, skills, and abilities with an orientation to delivering results.
  • Able to utilize information, and information technology / systems to make fact-based decisions.
  • Proficient in using analytical tools to create project plans, supplier analysis, scorecards, etc. These analytical tools include MS Excel, MS Project, and other planning and analysis tools.
  • Proficient in data presentation and visualization. Able to utilize systems and data to effectively troubleshoot, forecast and deliver business intelligence/insights to key stakeholders
  • Highly proficient in the application of change management and continuous improvement methods, and the application to daily activities to drive performance improvement
  • Proficiency in coaching/mentoring to the Strategy & Performance organization individual contributors and others across Supply Chain
  • Ability to lead others through ambiguity and support functional leadership of smaller teams
