Incumbent is responsible for analyzing business performance, pricing, sales, and margin data to support company profitability goals and operational decision making. Incumbent works closely with Account Managers, Channel Leads, Sales Controllers, Sales Operations, and cross functional partners to support pricing strategies, manage pricing approvals and uploads, validate program profitability, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Individual will work with business intelligence applications to manage and create reports and analysis to support business operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Works directly with Account Managers and Channel Leads to support pricing calculations, quoting activities, pricing approvals, and profitability analysis

  • Supports the development and enhancement of business intelligence and reporting tools, including Power BI, Power Applications, SQL, Excel, and more

  • Manages POS reporting and supports ad hoc reporting requests related to sales, pricing, and profitability

  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets market, sales, and profitability data to support pricing strategies and business recommendations

  • Maintains and supports pricing models, reports, dashboards, and analytical tools

  • Works directly with Sales Operations to assist in reporting and pricing management

  • Analyzes and reports monthly variances to Plan related to sales, pricing, margins, and profitability

  • Reports, reviews, and reacts to significant changes in pricing, margins, and sales performance

  • Manages pricing tool maintenance, pricing error resolution, and updates to pricing calculations and reporting processes

  • Manages pricing uploads and acts as a gatekeeper to ensure alignment between pricing projections and order management systems

  • Ensures proper documentation and tracking for discounts, rebates, pricing approvals, and pricing programs

  • Conducts and participates in pertinent meetings, special research, data analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, or other projects as assigned

  • Supports efforts to recruit, coach, train, and develop team resources

  • Promotes teamwork within the department and cross-functionally while building and improving internal and external relationships

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work well with others

  • Advanced data analysis, statistics, trend analysis, regression, and statistical forecasting skills

  • Proficiency with data analysis software (Excel, Access, SQL)

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and trustworthy

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Problem solving skills

  • Tolerance for ambiguity

  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the business including various levels of management and all applicable departments about: demand and supply trends, expectations, and issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or related field, from an accredited university, or 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Prior forecasting, inventory management, customer service, and process creation & improvement experience preferred
