As a Business Analyst specializing in SAP Reporting, you'll play a crucial role in our SAP General Ledger and Reinsurance (Subledger) Reporting team. You'll support the stabilization and optimization of financial data flows across SAP GL, FPSL, and Group IFRS systems, working alongside accounting experts, IT specialists, and fellow business analysts. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive understanding of financial data flows and reporting processes within a global reinsurance leader.
Perform data validations and analyze results to provide business insights supporting high-quality financial reporting
Document and understand end-to-end financial data flows from source systems through General Ledger and Group reporting
Elicit and analyze business requirements from Finance, Accounting, and Reporting stakeholders
Translate complex requirements into functional and technical specifications for IT implementation teams
Apply financial knowledge of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to reporting solutions
Map accounting rules to system logic, data models, and reporting structures
Support closing cycles by analyzing variances and explaining movements in financial results
Design test scenarios for business and user acceptance testing, including result analysis
Investigate incidents through root-cause analysis and recommend effective solutions
Contribute to enhancements and optimization initiatives for reporting systems
Utilize reporting tools such as Analysis for Office (AfO), Fiori, Microsoft Azure, and Power BI

You're an analytical professional who excels at bridging the gap between financial concepts and technical systems. You combine SAP expertise with strong financial knowledge, allowing you to build effective solutions that meet business needs. You're detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement in both your technical capabilities and business understanding.
University degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent field
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, particularly in reinsurance
Demonstrated SAP experience and knowledge
Good understanding of reinsurance and insurance finance concepts and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think independently and solve complex problems
Excellent collaboration and teamwork orientation
These are additional nice to haves:
Experience with reporting tools like Analysis for Office (AfO), Fiori, Microsoft Azure, and Power BI
Knowledge of IFRS accounting valuation principles
Experience in requirements gathering and documentation
Familiarity with agile project methodologies
Previous experience in process optimization or system implementation projects
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
