The Business Analyst is responsible for analysis of varied business processes by using professional expertise and departmental policies and procedures and assisting in the development of solutions. This position requires a blend of student financial functional knowledge, technical proficiency, data analysis skills, and analytical problem-solving skills to increase and improve business efficiencies. Collaborate with key partners within the Enrollment Management and IT divisions, other areas across the college, and with technical third-party partners.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Technology
Support the student financial information systems.
Assist with maintaining annual parameters to comply with institutional policies and procedures and federal and state regulations. This includes annual updates, periodic testing, and other maintenance requirements.
Support the new year system implementation and daily production schedule.
Supporting student information system data integration projects that impact processing.
Contribute to assessing, improving, and maintaining the operational and technical aspects of processes, focusing on best practices in technology utilization and limiting manual processes.
Collaborate with the functional team leads to assess their needs.
Collaborate with USNH IT and other functional leads on testing protocols and implementation schedules for system releases, upgrades, and patches.
Provide in-office support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, maintain, and manage Department of Education software databases and ensure data integrity.
Responsible for the maintenance of the life cycle of all computer hardware and software within the office.
Reporting
Complete data analytics and reporting for federal, state, and institutional requests.
Design custom and maintain current user reports to assist department with regular and ad-hoc needs.
Compliance
Collaborate with the Compliance team and SFS Director in ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Create documentation and train end users in system features and usage.
Data Stewardship
Maintain confidentiality and protect and secure student records, data, and privacy.
Ensure that proper controls are in place when accessing various technological products and services.
Counsel and advise students and parents on best practices for ensuring privacy and FERPA compliance.
Adhere and advise on data sharing practices and the permissibility of access to protected data elements and materials.
Customer Service
Maintain a professional presence and accessibility through active participation and relevant offerings to various community and University associations and departments.
Represent Student Financial Services at meetings and events.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience, Associate's degree and four years, or combination of education and experience equal to six years.
Experience in creating SQL code.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to code in PL/SQL, .Net (dot-Net) and Drupal experience helpful.
Ability to troubleshoot operating system and basic hardware issues.

Compensation Pay Range:
$23.01 - $38.03
