Context & Environment

Operating in a rapidly evolving business landscape, our Information Systems play a central role in supporting Trading & Shipping as well as Gas & Power Trading activities.

The team ensures high system availability while responding to demanding user needs and supporting business growth and innovation. This role is critical to enabling seamless operations across our trading activities.

Activities

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Business Applications Trading Oil & Shipping team.

In this role, you will be the key point of contact between business users and the development teams to ensure the optimal use and continuous evolution of Medissys, our ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) solution for Trading & Shipping. You will drive functional alignment, support users, ensure quality delivery, and contribute to the smooth running of critical IT systems supporting our fast‑paced and demanding trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Gather and analyse business requirements, especially on complex or multi‑domain topics.
• Draft clear and comprehensive functional specifications for development teams.
• Ensure alignment with ETRM architecture and functional coherence.
• Propose implementation schedules aligned with team priorities.
• Maintain strong collaboration with development teams throughout delivery.

User Support

• Investigate and resolve complex user issues; provide temporary workarounds where needed.
• Document and report anomalies to development teams.
• Support users in optimising their use of Medissys and configuring their workspaces.
• Promote new functionalities and contribute actively to change management.
• Produce clear, user‑friendly documentation.

Testing

• Design and execute functional, non‑regression, and UAT test plans.
• Validate the compliance and quality of delivered features.
• Create automated test scenarios for use with testing tools.

Technical Operations

• Monitor and ensure the smooth functioning of Medissys application servers and services during local operating hours.
• Provide rapid troubleshooting in case of service interruptions.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree (BAC+4/5), ideally in Commodity Trading, Oil Logistics, or Information Systems Management.
• 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 4–5 years working with Commodity Trading information systems.
• Strong affinity for IT systems and technologies.
• Fluent in English. French is a plus.
