Business Analyst (Banking/Financial service)

We have developed the first version of our platform and solutions which are already deployed with paying clients in  multiple countries. Furthermore, we are majority owned and governed by the founders while we also have strong anchor investors providing us with capital and support to grow at a fast pace.

Who We Want

We are looking for a Business Analyst, to drive the growth of our product line to help accelerate business growth and optimize operation efficiency through technologies. You will be responsible for requirement gathering, functional specification, and participating in the implementation of product features in order to ensure the most valuable and proper functionality of the product. As a Business Analyst, you will gather feature requests from customers, design flows, and identify business requirements for the product. By working closely with the team, you should be able to participate in identifying user needs, understand the business value, and work cross-functionally.

You are responsible for the business analysis, and functional specifications and ideally have an innate curiosity for the technical business aspect of the product like API management, System Design, Market Research, etc. Depending on the type of products that you are managing, you may need some domain technical knowledge and understanding of the business logic to explain to the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering and Analysis

• Evaluate and optimize business processes in banking, payment, securities, retail, and wallet management.
• Elicit, understand, and document business requirements, transforming them into detailed functional specifications.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business requirements and current capabilities.
  
   Business Solution Design

• Design comprehensive solutions and features, including business flows, diagrams, services, and digital modules.
• Ensure solutions provide unique and effective experiences for end-users, aligning with business objectives.
  
   Implementation and Testing

• Oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring they meet specified business requirements and quality standards.
• Support QA team to develop and execute testing plans to validate solutions, ensuring functionality and performance.
  
   Collaboration and Communication

• Drive launch reviews in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product rollout and communication.
• Regularly publish and communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand and prioritize customer needs, behaviors, and attitudes.
• Facilitate communication and alignment among stakeholders, ensuring business objectives are met.
  
   Leadership and Coordination

• Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product design aligns with user needs and expectations.
• Hold teams accountable for deliverables and timelines.
• Mitigate risks by identifying potential issues early and developing contingency plans.
• Handle escalations and clear blockers to maintain project momentum.
  
   Documentation

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, functional specifications, and business process descriptions.
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:


• Bachelors degree or above in any related fields (IT, Technology, Engineering, or Finance)
  
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in product management.
  
• Experience working in a financial-related industry required (Payment, Banking; experience in Securities or Trading is preferred)
• Knowledge of the industry and market trends relevant to the Platform Engineering, Banking, Payment, or relevant products.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct gap analysis and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Proficiency in creating business flows, diagrams, and comprehensive solutions.
• Experience in overseeing implementation and testing of business solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage risks, handle escalations, and ensure project deliverables.
• Proficient in documentation and maintaining up-to-date, accurate records.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in English with attention to detail.
