Job Description

Based at Manchester Airport (2 days per week onsite)

Permanent role

Also open to East Midlands Airport (EMA)

Why MAG?

Every year, Manchester Airport connects over 30 million passengers to more than 200 destinations worldwide. As the third largest airport in the UK, and part of the largest UK-owned airport group, MAG plays a critical role in the region - supporting over 19,000 jobs and contributing around £7.75bn annually.

We’re continuing to invest in platforms like ServiceNow, but like most organisations, the challenge isn’t just the technology - it’s how consistently and effectively it’s used across different parts of the business.

That’s where this role comes in.

You won’t be working in a single lane or a neatly defined domain. ServiceNow touches multiple areas - IT, HR, operations - and the work reflects that. The value comes from understanding how those pieces connect, not just documenting them individually.

Alongside that, you’ll have access to a strong benefits package including a generous pension (up to 10% contribution), 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, free parking, subsidised public transport, a wide range of discounts, wellbeing support and volunteering days.

The role

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to work across our ServiceNow platform, supporting delivery across multiple domains.

This isn’t a role for someone who just maps processes and writes requirements.

You’ll be working closely with stakeholders to understand real problems, challenge assumptions, and help shape solutions that actually work in practice — not just on paper.

The environment is varied. You might be working with IT teams one week, HR or operational teams the next. Being able to adapt quickly, pick up context, and connect the dots is a big part of the role.

What you'll be doing

You’ll spend a lot of time engaging with stakeholders, understanding what they’re trying to achieve and helping translate that into something clear and actionable for delivery teams.

You’ll work closely with Product Owners, engineers and architects to shape requirements that are grounded in how the platform actually works.

You’ll look beyond individual requests — understanding how changes impact other areas, and helping avoid duplication or disconnected solutions.

You’ll also play a role in improving how work is defined and delivered, keeping things focused on outcomes rather than just activity.

Desirable

Previous experience working with ServiceNow

Experience in complex or multi-site organisations

Exposure to Agile delivery environments

Interview process

A short initial call, followed by a more in-depth conversation including some scenario-based discussion.

Equal Opportunities & Reasonable Adjustments

We’re building something brilliant at MAG: a diverse team of Journey Makers who want to make a difference. We’re on a mission to be number one in our industry, and that takes talent in all its forms.

Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we’d still encourage you to apply — what matters most is what you bring.

We’re proud to be a Disability Confident employer. If you need any adjustments during the process, just let us know - we’ll support you.

At MAG, every journey matters. Our colleague communities include Women’s Network, Embrace (Race & Ethnicity), Fly with Pride (LGBTQIA+), Mind Matters (Mental Health), PACT (Parents & Carers), RespectABILITY (Disability & Neurodiversity), and the CAVU Global ID&E Affinity Group.

About MAG (Airports Group)

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) is the UK’s largest airports group. Collectively, MAG owns and operates three UK airports – Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands – alongside digital travel services business, CAVU.

Last year 54m passengers flew through our airports, and we contributed more than £8bn to the UK economy. MAG directly employs 7,000 people and supports more than 40,000 jobs across the supply chain.

We understand airports and air travel better than anyone. Our impact spans the length of the UK, with around 70% of the population living within a two-hour journey of a MAG airport. By working with a wide range of airlines to forge long-term partnerships that maximise the choice and value available to passengers, we have grown a large route network that connects people and businesses to the globe.

Looking ahead, we are ambitious and focused on making the future of travel better. We are investing in our airports to launch new routes, and give our passengers the best experience. In CAVU, we are using MAG’s decades of aviation experience and industry-leading consumer insights to revolutionise airport travel. And, running through everything we do, we are working confidently towards a sustainable future and achieving net zero for aviation by 2050.
