The Business Analyst will report to the EMEA Process Improvement Manager within the Technology Application Engineering and Market Development function. This role focuses on Opportunity-to-Order systems and process measurement and improvement, covering the lifecycle from Opportunity identification through Quote and Order, including processes supporting CPQ configurator development and governance.
The role supports identifying, prioritizing, developing, executing, and sustaining effective system enhancements and process improvements that drive efficient sales, configuration, quoting, and order entry functionality. Responsibilities include process documentation, reporting automation, training material creation, and limited issue resolution.
In addition, the role will support governance and reporting related to the transition from the Configure One (C1) quoting platform to the new CPQ platform (Tacton). The Business Analyst will assist in tracking redeployment of configurators, monitoring project progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective reporting and data visibility for the CPQ transformation program.
Under the direction of the Process Improvement Manager, you will serve as an individual contributor to improvement project execution and act as a primary point of contact for reporting automation initiatives and IT requirements management within the transactional processes space.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting Automation & Business Intelligence
• Drive and directly work on the development of reporting automation initiatives.
• Manage the Power BI workspace, reports, and dashboards for the Technology Application and Market Development organization.
• Share and distribute reports and dashboards while ensuring data security and appropriate access rights management.
• Maintain the Activities Governance Power BI report for multiple Business Units: Power, IT Systems, Infrastructure Solutions, Switchgear, and Busbar.
• Ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with IT teams to resolve data or reporting inconsistencies.
• Support reporting across multiple processes including Opportunity-to-Order, CPQ development, and Product Management processes.
• Analyze data to identify insights, trends, and performance patterns and prepare presentations to support leadership decision-making.
• Design and develop reports that support operational decision-making and drive business actions across Technology Application and Product Management organizations.
IT Requirements & Process Improvement
• Act as a point of contact with IT teams to plan and monitor progress of required system enhancements.
• Collect and consolidate process improvement inputs from business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into system enhancement specifications and coordinate with IT for implementation.
• Support system testing, validation, and rollout of process improvements and technology updates.
• Track implementation progress, coordinate user training activities, and assess effectiveness of new system capabilities.
CPQ Governance & C1 to Tacton Transition Support
• Support the CPQ team in establishing governance and reporting mechanisms during the transition from Configure One (C1) to the new CPQ platform (Tacton).
• Coordinate and track progress of redeploying configurators from C1 to the new CPQ environment.
• Maintain project tracking dashboards and reporting tools to monitor migration progress, risks, and deliverables.
• Assist in documenting current CPQ processes and identifying gaps or improvements during the platform transition.
• Support communication and coordination between business teams, CPQ developers, and IT stakeholders.
• Contribute to reporting and governance structures supporting the Global Process Development Office (GPDO) initiatives.
Process Measurement & NPDI Reporting
• Support implementation of metrics for New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) project measurement.
• Ensure effective collection and management of data from processes and projects in scope.
• Implement reporting mechanisms and integrate reporting with Global Process Development Office frameworks.
• Collaborate with GPDO on initiatives within the New Product Development process, such as Voice of the Customer tracking.
• Support deployment of global process improvement initiatives within the EMEA region.
School Background & Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Power BI training required (certification preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma awareness required (certification preferred).
• Oracle EBS knowledge preferred.
Required Experience
• Proven experience in project coordination or project management, preferably within process improvement or organizational development initiatives.
• Experience in business intelligence, structured reporting, or data analytics environments.
• Experience working with reporting tools, data analysis platforms, and presentation software.
