Business Analyst

Onsite | Washington, DC| 5 Days a Week

Active Top Secret Clearance Required

Responsibilities

• Lead collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization through concept development, and user story writing to support development and deployment.
• Facilitate the gathering of business focused requirements to support a product team and product owner in defining the backlog and ensuring the users perspective is considered.
• Focus requirements gathering on improved usability, user experience, and driving user adoption and engagement.
• Identify core business needs and decompose and document in concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories; document business rules and construct workflow diagrams as needed.
• Provide consultation on complex projects while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience gathering and analyzing business requirements supporting application development leveraging end-user requirements and decomposing those into well-structured requirements (epics/stories)
• Confidently communicating and validating requirements with relevant stakeholders
• Working knowledge of requirements management tools (Such as JIRA, TFS, etc.)
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
• Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
• Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (in English, Literature, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Science, Psychology or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline)

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
