Job Description

Skyline Champion Corporation is looking for a Business Analyst for its corporate office to develop and manage processes focused on improving business performance and provide insights to the management team The Business Analyst will play a critical role in identifying and capturing material cost reduction opportunities, performing product profitability analysis for the company's US operations, maintaining and improving margin reporting tools, and sharing actionable findings with the leadership team and plants. The Business Analyst will act as an ambassador of sound business practices and modern business analytics approaches

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage profitability reports and dashboards. Summarize key takeaways and review results with operational leadership.
  • Help to implement strategies for future-state analytics in the Fabric Workspace environment, including creating and migrating business reports to the new ERP system and data warehouse
  • Closely collaborate with the procurement group to identify and capture material cost reduction opportunities, including centralization of fragmented spending and tracking the implementation of standard parts
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with plant personnel, facilitate adoption of business analytics tools, and manage training activities (including on-site training)
  • Gain a solid understanding of plant economics and accounting practicesSupport the Operational Excellence team in identifying opportunities to improve operations and track the results of labor efficiency and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT, costing, and accounting staff in the development of new business analytics tools. Apply critical thinking to resolve potential application and data integrity issues.
  • Develop tools that assist in pricing for operational leadership, prepare presentations, share findings with leadership, and complete ad-hoc analysis

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business analytics or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years' related work / educational experience or equivalent educational experience
  • Excellent ability to communicate meaningful report findings and make a compelling case for improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments on an accelerated timeframe
  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling in Excel and familiarity with advanced features (including pivot tables, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), VB macros, and Power Query)
  • Working knowledge of business analytics tools such as the Power BI environment (data modeling, DAX basics, and dashboard building)
  • Experience with SQL/R/Python Language is a plus.

  • Python / R for forecasting and statistical modeling
  • Windchill, Oracle, and NAV data sources

Location and travel:

This position will be a hybrid position based at the corporate office in Troy, MI. This position will require 5-10% travel
