As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging business needs and technology solutions, helping organisations improve processes, enhance digital services, and support data-driven decision-making. Depending on the assignment, you may contribute to requirements analysis, business process optimisation, digital transformation initiatives, data management projects, application development, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you may:

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and business needs assessments.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process models, and solution recommendations.
  • Analyse and improve business processes, workflows, and operating models to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support digital transformation, process improvement, and business change initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical experts.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and adoption of business applications and digital solutions.
  • Participate in requirements prioritisation, solution validation, and change management activities.
  • Support testing activities, including test definition, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validation, and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to data-related initiatives, including data analysis, data quality, reporting, and information management.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, business cases, process maps, and functional specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and support the delivery of solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an agile, waterfall, or hybrid project environment.

Profile requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in Business Analysis, Functional Analysis, Process Improvement, Digital Transformation, Data Management, or a related domain.
  • Strong understanding of requirements gathering, stakeholder management, business process modelling, and solution analysis.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear and structured functional requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices like BPMN, UML, ...
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies is considered an asset.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, BPMN, or similar solutions is an advantage.
  • Understanding of data management, reporting, business intelligence, or data quality concepts is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Power Platform, or similar technologies is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a multilingual and multicultural environment.
  • Interest in European affairs and public sector transformation is considered a strong advantage.
  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of additional European languages is an asset.
